Lee & Tonni Jackson – Pastor
Lee and Tonni Jackson were both born and raised in Texas although they didn’t meet until age 27.
Lee was saved October 8, 2000, shortly after he and Tonni were engaged. Tonni was saved and baptized at age 7 at Bethel Baptist Church in Del Rio, Texas where her father pastored for several years. Lee surrendered his life and service to the Lord two years after he and Tonni were married. God opened the door for them to work with the youth and van ministry in the church where they presently were members. Lee began to pursue Bible College and taking classes at Louisiana Baptist University. In 2006, Lee and Tonni moved to Shreveport, Louisiana and Lee graduated in the Spring of 2010 at LBU with a B.S. in Biblical Studies. In 2008, Lee was called by Bible Baptist Church as Associate pastor to Dr. Bill Sheffield. In 2009 Dr. Sheffield resigned and Bible Baptist Church called Lee to full-time pastorate.
Tonni graduated in 1995 with her BA in Christians Education and in 1998 with her MA in Christian Education from LBU. She surrendered her life to the Lord as a teenager. Now Tonni is a homemaker to her husband and their four boys. She works with the children and the ladies ministries of the church. Lee and Tonni were married December 2, 2000 and have four children:
Nathaniel “Harmon” – 8years old
Jeremiah – 6 years old
Jonathan – 4 years old
Levi – 20 months
The Jackson’s look forward to serving the Lord. As a family they have made a commitment to seek what God has at the open the door for them and surrender themselves to whatever God has called before them…after-all you cannot receive the blessing unless you are willing to go through the door. They believe that God has called them to Bible Baptist Church and they are committed to serve and they pray and seek the Lord daily for guidance as they lead the Bible Baptist Church Family.
David & Reta Keeny – Music & Youth Minister
David was born in South Haven, MI but moved to Fort Smith, AR at a young age and lived there through his first year at Westark Community College (now University of Arkansas: Fort Smith). He went on to complete an Associate of Arts degree there in music and later a B.A in music and Christian education at Baptist Christian College in Shreveport, LA. While completing this degree he was involved in the music ministry of the Central Baptist Church of Center, TX under the leadership of Dr. Roy Wallace. While there he met Reta and upon graduation from BCC they were married. The Keeny’s have three grown children: Joshua, Christopher and Amber. All three are serving the Lord in churches in Texas and Missouri. Chris is married, he and Vallie have a daughter, Elizabeth, the Keeny’s first grandchild. In 1991 the Keeny family, upon David’s graduation from the Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology in Springfield, MO with an M.Div, went to Troy, Alabama. David pastored the Green Drive Baptist Church there in Troy for 12 1/2 years. Since then David & Reta have lived in Missouri and Texas. They now reside in Shreveport, LA where David is Dean of Biblical Studies at Louisiana Baptist University and Music / Youth leader here at Bible Baptist Church.
